Buttermilk Golden Oyster Mushroom

  • 1 packet VegeWorld Golden Oyster Mushroom
  • 2 tbsp or 30g margarine/plant-based spread
  • 1 sprig curry leaves (approximately 0.9g)
  • 1 big clove or 2 small cloves of garlic (approximately 6g)
  • 2-4 bird’s eye chilli, according to preferred spice level (approximately 2.50g)
  • ½ cup or 125 g coconut milk
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Cornstarch mixed with water to form a slurry (4.3g cornstarch + 7.25g water)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Mushroom seasoning, to taste


  1. Deep fry the Golden Oyster Mushroom at 180 degrees Celcius for 5-6 minutes
  2. Melt the margarine, stir-fry garlic, chillies, and curry leaves until fragrant.
  3.  Add in coconut milk and a pinch of turmeric
  4.  Add in cornstarch slurry, stirring frequently and bring to a gentle simmer
  5. Add in sugar, salt and mushroom seasoning
  6. Serve with Golden Oyster Mushroom. Enjoy immediately!
